The Renfrew Bridge is part of the £117m Clyde Waterfront and Renfrew Riverside project, aiming to connect Renfew with Yoker and Clydebank in order to enhance health, education and leisure opportunities in addition creating thousands of jobs.
However, the completion of this scheme would have not been possible if not for HBPW's expertise in temporary works and marine engineering. Before the bridge was installed, HBPW had the crucial role of building cofferdams, which allowed for the construction of foundational piers and motor rooms beneath the bridge towers. Furthermore, additional temporary works such as temporary bridges and foundation supports, enabled the off-loading of the bridge deck units. Thanks to HBPW's expertise in temporary works and marine engineering, civil engineers at GRAHAM were able to successfully install the bridge.
This project is jointly funded by the £1.13bn Glasgow City Region City Deal, a partnership between the UK and Scottish Governments and local authorities aimed at delivering infrastructure projects to boost economic growth.
